Ever watched The Great British Baking Show?

If you’ve seen the contestants fixate over dough and stress about whether their latest creations will collapse, it’s easy to dismiss baking as a twee hobby.

But it’s also big business, with the global bakery products market expected to be worth more than $590 billion by 2028.

You can get a slice of the (fresh-baked) pie by promoting baking affiliate programs. The best thing is you don’t need to be a master baker yourself to get involved. Baking is relevant to various affiliate niches, including cooking, parenting, household budgeting and lifestyle.

And probably lots more besides. Because we all gotta eat. With that in mind, check out our 10 best baking affiliate programs.

1 Cake Stackers

cake stackers homepage

Everyone in the cake decorating industry knows the value of a quality cake stacker. Unsurprisingly, that’s exactly what Cake Stackers sells. Its cake stacking systems are made from food-grade anodized aluminum and stainless steel, making them sturdy and reusable.

While a basic model will set you back just a few dollars, some of the company’s premium cake stands sell for around the $200 mark. That’s why Cake Stackers has an impressive average first order value of $153.

Cake Stackers runs its affiliate program in-house, with applications made via a simple onsite form. To be approved, you must have an active, family-friendly website, ideally related to baking or the food industry.

Provided you make the cut, you’ll receive a 10% commission on all sales via your affiliate link. The affiliate program has a generous 120-day cookie window.

Commissions are paid via check or PayPal once your earnings reach at least $25. To help affiliate marketers drive traffic and sales, Cake Stackers offers access to a wide variety of banners and links.

  • 12% for sales of more than $5,000 within a 30-day period
  • 15% for sales of more than $10,000 within a 30-day period

The store sees a summertime average order value of around $57. That figure typically doubles in winter. Its average gift order value ranges from $25 – $35.

As the name suggests, LearnCakeDecoratingOnline (LCDO) sells online cake decorating courses. Its team has more than 40 years of combined experience in the cake decorating niche.

LCDO sells courses on an individual basis, typically for around $30 per course. Alternatively, bakers can sign up for an all-inclusive membership, priced at $19.95 per month or $14.90 per month when billed annually.

This is one affiliate program you definitely want to look out for, because it pays recurring commissions. When a customer buys after clicking your affiliate link, you earn 30% of their membership fees for as long as they keep paying.

Not only that, but LCDO offers a lifetime cookie window. So even if someone doesn’t buy for a year after clicking your link, you still get paid.

And the good news doesn’t end there, because your commissions can climb to 40% – 50% based on performance. Commissions are paid on a monthly basis via PayPal.

8 How To Cake It

Conclusion: Are Baking Affiliate Programs Right For You

There’s no shortage of attractive baking affiliate programs. And we haven’t even mentioned the biggest affiliate program of all, Amazon Associates, which sells thousands of baking-related products. No wonder baking is such a popular niche.

(Check out our Amazon Affiliate Program Review and our detailed guide on How to Become an Amazon Affiliate.)

But there are no guarantees in affiliate marketing. Just because there are lots of products worth promoting and generous commissions to be earned, that doesn’t mean you’re going to make it rich.

To be a successful affiliate marketer in this space, you need to build a high-quality baking niche website packed full of useful content. That takes a ton of work. Trust us, we know — we’ve built affiliate sites in more niches than you’ve had hot cakes.

Fortunately, we’re not shy about sharing what we’ve learned. Want to find out the seven secrets that make new sites 83% more successful? Just sign up for our free training!
