In this blog post, we will delve into the world of the best gaming affiliate programs.

Unless you’ve spent time as a gamer or around gamers, you probably have no idea how utterly obsessed most of us are with our hobby.

For example, I learned to touch type because I’d stay up all night playing deathmatches and forget to turn on the lights.

Suddenly, I could touch type, and all it took was six months of sitting in a dark room.

But back to the post topic — gamers are happy to spend almost unlimited money on their hobby.

That’s why the gaming industry is currently worth US$113 billion and could potentially be worth more than US$300 billion within the next five years.

Gaming was once a hobby reserved for absolute nerds but is now mainstream.

So, you’d assume there are plenty of affiliate programs in the gaming niche.

And you’d be right.

1 Razer

Razer Homepage

Razer manufactures the types of products every gamer wants, from PC games to console players and mobile gamers.

They even make an energy drink for gamers aptly named Respawn, with just a hint of cheese.

Founded in 2005, they describe themselves as the “…leading lifestyle brand for gamers”, and we can’t argue with that.

Because if you ask most gamers to name something on their gaming wish list, a Razer product will be in their top five.

Razer products are far from cheap, but they’re very popular, so people find the money to buy them.

That’s bearing in mind they produce a range of gaming laptops that start at US$1,500.

The margins in computer hardware have always been small.

That’s why you see a sliding scale of commissions for Razer products, from 1% to 20%, depending on what products you sell.

Gamers know the Razer brand, so they’ll expect to find it mentioned on a gaming blog.

2 Alienware

Alienware Homepage

Alienware builds the type of gaming PCs that every gamer dreams of. They were among the first companies to take portable gaming seriously with their cutting-edge laptops.

What made their products so different from everyone else?

They were (and are) insanely powerful.

Founded in 1996, the company changed its name from Sakai to Alienware in 1997 because … well … the founders loved the X-Files TV show.

That name change also involved changing their logo to the now instantly recognizable alien head that adorns their PCs.

Dell acquired Alienware in 2006, so you’ll have to sign up for the Dell affiliate program.

Just remember that Alienware desktops and laptops feature on the Christmas wish list of every PC gamer.

These gaming PCs don’t come cheap.

Their entry-level models start at $899, average around $3,000, but go up to $8,500.

6% of $899 is $53.94, 6% of $3,000 is $180, and 6% of $8,500 is $510.

So there’s money to be made here.

The 3-day cookie is nasty though, so only send warm traffic to these offers.

3 Zygor Guides

Zygor Homepage

Zygor Guides are in-game guides for both World of Warcraft and WoW Classic.

They work for existing races and classes in all zones and do not break the game’s ToS.

In-game guides mean precisely that – this is an add-on for World of Warcraft, allowing you to level up quickly but still enjoy the storyline of whatever flavor of the game you prefer.

Simple things like the 3D arrow, which shows you how to go on a map, that helps you make the most of your gaming time.

So now you can jump into the world of Azeroth for a quick quest and get more bang for your buck, and in less time, too.

We featured this program because of its ‘Power Rank’ score (it’s a top performer) and the potential for repeat sales.

The tiny detail is that you can earn recurring commissions from this program because it’s a monthly subscription.

So you get 50% on the front end and the potential for backend sales.

4 Nvidia

Nvidia Homepage

There are two types of NVIDIA fans in the world: those who pronounce it N-vidia and the heretics who use Neh-vidia instead.

Nvidia is best known for its range of GPU (Graphics Processing Units) or gaming graphics cards, but they also manufacture streaming media players and AI development workstations.

Nvidia started in the PC gaming industry in 1993 when everyone and their uncle were manufacturing graphics chipsets.

Now, years later, NVIDIA is the only independent manufacturer of graphic chipsets worldwide.

They’re also the default choice for serious gamers.

NVIDIA’s EPC is nothing to write about, but their ‘Network Earnings’ score on Commission Junction makes up for that.

This balance comes from a relatively high-end NVIDIA GPU that costs at least $300.

So their commission rate is low, but there’s a market of 200 million games to serve, plus you wouldn’t be solely promoting NVIDIA GPUs on your gaming blog.

5 Final Mouse

Final Mouse homepage

Final Mouse is an exciting company because it focuses on a single product- gaming mice.

And not only that, but each mouse is a limited edition, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Now, if you’re the average person, you’ll assume that all mice are created equal.

But gamers are very particular about the types of mice they (we okay, me!) use because it can be the difference between sitting in respawn hell and trouncing the competition.

Geek moment: I used to tweak the config file for my mouse. Kids today will just never understand.

Final Mouse products also have a truly unique look, so in addition to being limited editions, this makes them even more attractive.

Their affiliate program is run by Refersion, so the above screenshot looks different from the rest.

But what matters is the metrics, and in the case of this program, that’s an EPC of $54.54 and a 25% commission rate.

This program is a no-brainer for any gaming affiliate site that wants to make money.

Note: You’ll need to sign up for the Refersion Marketplace to view the details of this program.

6 ModdedZone

Moddedzone Homepage

ModdedZone claims to be the “largest custom modification controller company,” and since I can’t think of many others, I’ll have to trust it.

The brand sells hundreds of different controller designs for various video game consoles, from the Xbox One and 360 to the PlayStation 3 and 4.

To repeat my earlier point, “custom” and “expensive” go hand in hand. High-spec controllers cost well over $100, so it’s no surprise the site has an average order value of $150.

That makes the 10% commission rate offered through ModdedZone’s gaming affiliate program sound even more attractive.

Combined with a generous 90-day cookie window, this is one of the best gaming affiliate programs we’ve seen while compiling this article.

To help drive sales, it’s worth noting that ModdedZone offers free shipping on all US orders and ships its products worldwide.

7 Bose

Bose Homepage

Bose isn’t the only company in the world that produces high-quality headphones and speakers, but they are one of the best.

So, we could have featured Skullcandy or Steel Series headsets here, but not only are Bose products superior (in my opinion), but so is their affiliate program (based on the numbers).

Gamers love comfortable noise-canceling headphones because they allow you to immerse yourself in whatever your preferred gaming world is.

People who live with gamers also love noise-canceling headphones because the other choice is a subwoofer+speaker combo shaking the walls.

The commission rate is pretty low here, but it is typical of what you can expect for consumer electronic products.

But you have to factor in the high ticket price associated with Bose products – a good pair of Bose wireless headphones costs in the region of $300.

This means a $10 commission for every pair of headphones your visitor purchases.

8 Into The AM

Into The AM Homepage

Into The AM manufactures a range of clothing for gamers and anyone looking for truly unique designs.

I love the name because it reminds me how the best gaming sessions start in the PM and end in the late AM.

In terms of gamer gear, they sell fully licensed t-shirts for games like World of Warcraft, God of War, and Assassin’s Creed.

They also sell joggers, so if you’re planning a gaming marathon and don’t fancy the hassle of wearing pants, these just might suit you.

Everything Into The AM sells is handcrafted and made from eco-friendly materials and inks, so you’re doing your bit to help the environment too.

Of all the gamer clothing affiliate programs we looked at, Into the AM came out tops. They have a solid EPC of over $50, and the 10% commission also translates well because their average t-shirt costs $32.

Again, this is the program you would promote in addition to other gaming affiliate programs. There is usually not enough referral cash in clothing alone to make it worthwhile.

9 Microsoft

Microsoft Homepage

Microsoft is responsible for an explosion in home gaming in a way that most people don’t understand.

Back in the day — when PCs were only used by nerds — Microsoft made them accessible to everyone by introducing Windows 3. x and then Windows 95.

Playing games before that required actual technical knowledge, like knowing how to write and edit config.sys and autoexec.bat files.

In gaming terms, this was as revolutionary as Apple releasing the iPhone – it completely changed the game and caused a boom in PC sales that lasted almost two decades.

The 2% commission rate might seem low, but it’s twice what you’d earn promoting the same game console on Amazon.

How hard is it to sell an Xbox, a Surface PC, or the latest version of Windows?

10 Logitech

Logitech Homepage

Logitech is probably best known for its keyboards and mice, which have been a firm favorite of gamers for decades.

But they also make a whole range of gaming accessories under the “Logitech G” brand.

These include speakers, headsets, webcams, gaming mouse pads, controllers, flight yokes, joysticks, and steering wheels.

They even make a “heavy equipment bundle” for Farming Simulator…so you can accurately recreate a tractor’s controls in your sitting room.

There is somebody for everyone in this world.

Logitech gaming accessories are popular because they look great and last longer than cheaper imitations.

I was a little torn on including this program because of their ‘Network Earnings’ score, but a decent EPC and above-average commission rate of 4% got them over the line.

The other factor is that there are certain sub-niches of gaming (flight and driving sims) where you’d have to feature Logitech products because they’re typically some of the best available.

Treat this as a bolt-on program more than a primary money earner, but an important bolt-on program for this niche.

11 WarGaming.net

wargaming com homepage

Unless you’ve avoided TV and the Internet for the last five years, you’ll have seen World of Tanks or World of Warships advertised at least once.

WarGaming.com is the company behind these free-to-play MMOs, as well as World of Warplanes, Pagan Online, Masters of Orion, and Gods & Glory.

These games are played by millions of people worldwide, with new players signing up every minute.

Now, while these MMOs are “free to play,” you can also pay for a premium account to give you the best chance of success in that game.

And that’s where affiliates stand to make money.

You get paid for every new person who signs up for their games, although commission rates can vary from country to country.

Either way, it won’t do any harm to have a Wargaming.net link or banner somewhere on your site.

12 Twitch

Twitch Homepage

Twitch is one of the hottest properties in the streaming industry, with 9.36 million active streamers using the platform as of April 2021.

As you likely know, it’s extremely popular with hardcore gamers (and more casual fans). The most popular Twitch channels have vast fandoms — Ninja, the platform’s top-ranked streamer has more than 16 million followers.

Who knew you could get so much attention just for playing a few video games, eh?

Twitch has taken steps to monetize its audience as with all social platforms. That’s where the Twitch affiliate program comes in, paying a 5% revenue share on game sales through your channel page, which means you’re effectively being paid to promote games.

However, the Twitch affiliate program isn’t open to just anyone.

At the time of writing, Twitch was exclusively looking for streamers who aren’t yet Partners, have at least 50 followers, and have racked up at least 500 total minutes broadcast, seven unique broadcast days, and an average of three or more concurrent viewers over the last 30 days.

13 Green Man Gaming

Green Man Gaming Homepage

Green Man Gaming is a global e-commerce technology company focused solely on the video game industry.

It sells a vast catalog of games across multiple platforms, from indie titles to AAA releases, and works with more than 450 publishers, developers, and distributors.

So, if you’re an affiliate marketer looking to earn money from video game sales, the Green Man Gaming affiliate program could be the one for you.

Through the CJ affiliate network, it pays a 5% commission per sale on purchases from new users and 2% on returning user sales.

To help you drive clicks, Green Man Gaming offers a range of general and product-specific ads and is happy to consider bespoke requests from affiliate marketers.

Its close publisher relationships also allow it to facilitate reviews, giveaways, and competitions.

14 Kinguin

Kinguin Homepage

Kinguin is a global digital marketplace that sells game keys with instant delivery 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

With 10 million registered accounts and 500,000 new transactions a month, it’s a pretty big deal in the gaming niche.

Thanks to its multi-tiered commission structure, it also runs one of the best gaming affiliate programs we’ve seen. Simply, you earn 5% from every sale driven through your referral links.

But it gets better than that. When a new affiliate marketer registers for Kinguin’s affiliate program via your referral link, you get a 0.75% cut of their commissions.

And when new members sign up through those referral links, you also make a further 0.25% on their sales. Just think of all that passive income!

15 GameFly

Gamefly Homepage

GameFly is a US-based online video game rental service that strives to deliver the broadest selection and availability of games for all major consoles.

I know what you’re thinking: “In this day and age, why would I bother renting a game when I can just buy it?”

But GameFly’s whole proposition is pretty attractive. It delivers straight to your door, offers free shipping, and doesn’t charge late fees. You also get free shipping on controllers, gaming accessories, and collectibles.

Sounds interesting? The GameFly gaming affiliate program, run through CJ affiliate, pays $5 – $15 for all new members who sign up via your referral link, with plans starting at just $9.50 per month.

And you can also earn 8% – 10% commissions on sales of new console games.

16 Amazon Associates

Amazon Associated Affiliate Program

Amazon sells everything, and it’s got the gaming market pretty well covered.

Whether you’re looking for gaming chairs, laptops, peripherals, or anything else to enhance your gaming experience, you’ll likely find it at Amazon.

That means there are many opportunities for gaming affiliate marketers to monetize their traffic here. And because Amazon has such a strong reputation, it’s never a tough sell to persuade people to buy.

That’s why Amazon remains the most popular affiliate program. Our affiliate marketing statistics show that 58.5% of affiliate marketers use Amazon Associates.

Now for the bad news. Amazon’s terms are the stingiest of all the gaming affiliate programs on this list, paying just a 2% commission on digital video games and a rock-bottom 1% on physical video games and consoles. Plus, it only offers a measly 24-hour cookie window.

To sweeten the deal, affiliate marketers earn a commission on anything their referrals buy from Amazon within that 24-hour window, so you might pick up the occasional unexpected sale. Fingers crossed!

Note: We recently published a complete guide on how to make money with Amazon Affiliate Program. Don’t forget to check our Amazon affiliate program review.

17 Fanatical

Fanatical Homepage

Fanatical is a global gaming and digital entertainment platform that sells hot new video game releases, beloved classics, and curated gaming bundles.

It has more than 1,000 direct partnerships with big developers and publishers — think SEGA, Warner Bros, Bethesda, and many more — and boasts an audience of more than 1.6 million customers across over 200 countries.

Fanatical’s catalog includes more than 85 million genuine, officially licensed PC game keys for Steam games, plus a host of other platforms, including Epic, Uplay, Bethesda, Rockstar, and ESO online.

In short, it’s pretty extensive, and you can make money from it through Fanatical’s gaming affiliate program.

Commissions range from 2% – 5% on sales of new PC games, and you can also earn 3% – 6% on non-gaming items like books and comics.

18 Secretlab Chairs

Secretlab Chairs Homepage

Funnily enough, Secretlab Chairs sells gaming chairs. Those chairs don’t come cheap for the uninitiated, with prices topping $600 at the higher end of the scale.

Secretlab Chairs has a presence in seven regions and ships to more than 50 countries, which makes its gaming affiliate program perfect for affiliate marketers with a global audience.

But there’s a lot more to love about this affiliate program. For a start, the commissions are excellent, at up to 12% per sale you send to Secretlab through your referral link.

According to Secretlab, its conversion rates are also solid, approximately five times higher than similar gaming affiliate programs. That means you have a better chance of earning commission from the traffic you drive.

19 Nerd or Die

Nerd Or Die Homepage

Nerd or Die is a genuine veteran of the live streaming industry, having started a YouTube and web tutorial series covering OBS and streaming on Twitch in October 2014.

While it initially offered free resources — like a Twitch panel maker, overlays, and alerts — it’s since begun monetizing its audience by selling premium overlays, alerts, and other resources for gaming streams.

This brings us to the Nerd or Die gaming affiliate program. Streamers buy graphics, overlays, and effects to spice up their live-streaming antics, and you make money by referring them. Yet more proof that gaming isn’t just a hobby!

Although its prices are comparatively low, you can earn up to 30% per sale if you reach gold tier status (but you’ll need to hit many revenue targets and drive many referrals to get there).

20 Astro Gaming

Astro Gaming Homepage

ASTRO Gaming is owned by Logitech, one of the biggest names in the gaming peripherals niche.

ASTRO’s products — including high-quality audio equipment, controllers, and mixers — are explicitly targeted at hardcore gamers, from enthusiasts to professionals, and have been adopted by some of the world’s biggest gaming leagues.

In other words, ASTRO Gaming has plenty of pedigree, which makes it a comparatively easy sell. That’s good news because its gaming affiliate program offers 5% commissions per sale.

With a top-of-the-range ASTRO headset costing an eye-watering $300, there’s plenty of money to be made here.

21 Epic Games

Epic Games Homepage

Epic Games is one of the highest-profile names in the gaming industry. It’s the creative powerhouse behind some of the world’s hottest games — think Fortnite, Unreal Tournament, Infinity Blade, and several more.

Designed with Mac and PC Gamers in mind, the Epic Games Store is all about being kind to creators. While most video game retailers pay the developer about 70% per sale, Epic hands over a far more generous 88%.

To be accepted, you’ll need to have at least 1,000 followers on one or more of the following social platforms:

  • YouTube
  • Twitch
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • VK

Given the strength of its brand, Epic Games is pretty strict about who can join its gaming affiliate program.

22 GamerDating

Gamer Dating Homepage

I’ll give you two guesses about what GamerDating does. If you said “gamer dating,” congratulations, you nailed it!

That’s right, GamerDating is a dating platform aimed squarely at gamers. The idea is that its members spend more time building a happy, loving relationship and less trying to persuade their better half that gaming isn’t a complete waste of time.

With a user base of 400,000 hardcore gamers, it’s resonating within the gaming niche.

GamerDating’s membership packages cost $35 for two months or $70 for four months.

As a gaming affiliate marketer, you earn a solid 20% commission on every new member you refer, making this potentially one of the highest-paying gaming affiliate programs we’ve seen.

23 GT Omega

Gt Omega Homepage

A few years ago, the idea of a company exclusively manufacturing and selling gaming chairs would have seemed like a joke.

But fast-forward to the present day, and it’s become one of the hottest niches in the gaming industry, with sales expected to grow by a whopping $95 million between 2020 and 2024.

Established in 2009, GT Omega is one of the biggest names in the gaming chair space and also sells entire cockpits, wheel stands, and accessories.

As you can imagine, its products aren’t cheap, with a top-notch chair costing $650.

With commissions of up to 17% available, if you can reach tier four of its gaming affiliate program, it offers more earning potential than most video game affiliate programs.

24 Sennheiser

Sennheiser Homepage

Strictly speaking, Sennheiser isn’t part of the video game industry. Instead, it makes high-quality audio equipment. But its products are used and loved by many video game fanatics, hence its inclusion on this list.

Founded over 75 years ago, Sennheiser has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of headphones, loudspeakers, microphones, and wireless transmission systems.

It’s at the premium end of the audio market, with a top-notch Sennheiser headphones costing approximately $450.

As an affiliate marketer, that should make your eyes light up because premium prices mean big commissions.

And that’s the case here, with the Sennheiser gaming affiliate program paying a pretty respectable 6% per sale.

25 Origin PC

Origin Pc Homepage

Hardcore PC gamers love ORIGIN PC because it builds award-winning custom gaming PCs for enthusiasts, professionals, and everyone.

In my experience, “custom” is a synonym for “expensive,” and that’s certainly the case with ORIGIN PC. Its gaming laptops cost $2,000, while dedicated gaming PCs are even pricier.

So you’re probably not expecting this gaming affiliate program to pay 50% commissions.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how much it pays because commissions are decided on a case-by-case basis.

You’ll only find out about your commission structure once you’ve been granted entry to the affiliate program, so you’ll just have to apply to find out.

26 SCDKey

Scdkey Homepage

SCDKey has been selling video game codes and keys for over a decade, which makes it a well-known and respected name in its field.

You’ll find codes and keys for all the hottest games across various stores and platforms, including Steam, Origin, Uplay, and PlayStation.

In other words, SCDKey is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for an affiliate program that effectively pays you to promote games.

But there’s plenty more to like about SCDKey. For one thing, commission rates of up to 20% make this one of the best gaming affiliate programs we’ve seen in terms of earning potential.

As if that wasn’t enough, SCDKey also pays bonus commissions to top-performing affiliate marketers. Hit 80 orders a month, and you’ll receive an extra $100 on top of your regular commissions.

27 Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach Homepage

High-quality headphones are very much the name of the game at Turtle Beach. It sells over 100 gaming audio headsets for various platforms, including PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, PC, and Mac.

Turtle Beach’s award-winning video game headsets are used by everyone from casual games to professional esports athletes, giving you a broad audience to target.

With prices ranging from $20 – $300 and an average order value of $80, there’s definitely good money to be made here.

The only slight negative is that Turtle Beach’s affiliate program offers a commission of just 4%, which isn’t as attractive as some of the other gaming affiliate programs we’ve reviewed.

Conclusion

And that concludes our research on the gaming niche.
