Furnishing each room in a new home, whether a townhouse or apartment, can cost anywhere from $500 to $5,000.

That figure is even higher if you choose to remodel or hire interior designers completely – each room can cost upwards of $20,000.

This is part of why the home decor market is set to hit US$664 billion by 2020. Believe it or not, the interior design and home decor niche are worth almost as much as the debt settlement one.

The earnings data backs that up. Our affiliate marketing statistics show that the average marketer in the home & garden niche earns more than $5,000 per month.

So, let’s examine how you can profit from these home decor affiliate programs while helping people beautify their houses or apartments.

1 Wayfair

Wayfair Homepage

Wayfair believes “…everyone should live in a home they love”.

So they’ve made it their mission to ensure shoppers can find exactly what they need from Wayfair or their partner brands, Joss & Main, All Modern, Birch Lane, and Perigold.

Home decorators will find everything they need on Wayfair to furnish a brand-new home or revitalize renovation projects.

That includes everything from blankets and towels to kitchen appliances of all shapes and sizes.

Okay, so the EPC for this affiliate program isn’t life-changing, but it’s still strong.

And when you combine the almost $50 EPC with an average order value of $300, you have a home decor program well worth promoting.

The only potential downside is the 7-day cookie, but home decor enthusiasts are impulse shoppers.

That’s why nobody leaves IKEA empty-handed.

2 Ted’s Woodworking

Teds Woodworking Homepage

Teds Woodworking might not seem like an ideal fit for an article on home decor affiliate programs, well, not at first glance.

But home decor covers everything from choosing a new throw for your sofa to completely renovating a townhouse.

And what better way for your audience to get the exact results they need than by learning enough about woodwork to do some of the work themselves?

This digital product is sold on ClickBank, which gives customers access to step-by-step instructions on 16,000 woodworking projects.

And yes, there’s something to suit every skill level.

If you’re unfamiliar with ClickBank, the figure that matters here is their ‘Gravity’ score, not their EPC. In this case, it’s 139.88, which means this product is a very strong seller.

You also have the potential for recurring income from one sale, as indicated by the ‘Avg Rebill Total’ figure above.

One way to promote this program to the average homeowner is by educating themselves on the basics of woodwork; they can protect themselves from scam builders and con artists.

3 Rug Source

Rug Source Homepage

Rug Source sells – and this will come as no surprise to you – hundreds of different types of rugs, with something to suit every home.

And as a wise man once said, “That rug tied the room together.”

Home decor fans love rugs, though, and they’re willing to spend significant amounts of money to own the exact one they want.

Rug Source capitalizes on that by offering a complete range of rugs, from basic reproduction pieces, which retail for a few hundred dollars, to genuine Persian rugs, which can retail for thousands a piece.

Now, regarding the details you most care about, how much can you make as an affiliate?

Rug Source advertises an average order value of $400.

An order of that size would result in a commission of $40, and their EPC proves that their affiliates are making money.

Any home improvement, DIY, crafter, or renovator blog could benefit by promoting this program.

4 Pier 1

Pier 1 Homepage

Pier 1 is where you go when you’re looking for that decor element you can’t find locally.

Their products are imported from artisans all over the world, making them ideal for those “je ne sais quoi” requirements all home decorators occasionally have.

Your visitors will find outdoor and indoor furniture, rugs, pillows, cushions, bedding, vases, wall art, and a full range of lamps and candles.

The Pier 1 site is a smorgasbord for interior decorators.

You can earn up to 4% commission for all referred sales, which we admit is at the lower end of the payout scale.

But we’re featuring Pier 1 because they have a reasonably good EPC, backed up by excellent network earnings on Commission Junction.

They’re also a recognized brand name in the US, so you won’t have to convince your audience to check out their wares.

5 One Kings Lane

One Kings Lane Homepage

One Kings Lane understands that your home decor makes a very clear statement about your style.

They take that to a whole new level by selling the usual range of furniture, rugs, mirrors, and wall art and also allowing you to design your own furniture.

Using their Palette feature, you can, quite literally, design your own custom furniture, which they will then manufacture and ship to you.

Then, when you factor in their range of vintage furniture and furnishings, you’ll see why One Kings Lane is unique in the home decor market.

Unique is usually way easier to sell than mundane.

With an average order size of $200 per customer, affiliates can expect to make around $10 for every customer referred.

Try, though, to get past paying attention to just base commissions.

Instead, keep your eye on their network earnings and EPC because these directly reflect how well the serious affiliates are doing.

6 Keetsa Mattresses

Keetsa Mattresses Homepage

Keetsa spent 12 years perfecting a range of six mattresses, making them the best they could possibly be.

Each of these unique mattresses also comes with a 12-year warranty, and your visitors can take advantage of financing options to spread the cost.

But they don’t only sell mattresses.

They also manufacture bed frames to match their mattresses, pillows, bedding, and comfort layers (mattress toppers for our European visitors).

We wanted to give Keetsa a shout-out here because we love their online branding – it’s unique and stands out compared to the usually staged shots of furniture in an “ideal setting.”

What makes this home decor affiliate program particularly interesting to us (and, therefore, you) is an average order size of $650 per customer.

There’s also something quite special about Keetsa’s online presence.

And we think that will stand to affiliates in terms of overall conversion rates, i.e., you’ll make more money.

7 Baloo Blankets

Baloo Blankets Homepage

Baloo Living manufactures the perfect product for any homeowner – a blanket you can boast about.

These aren’t your typical run-of-the-mill blanket.

Nope, these weighted blankets fit snugly to your body while you sleep.

And this snugness also apparently boosts serotonin levels, so you’re not only comfy, but you’ll wake up rested and in a good mood.

Can any blanket do this?

We have no idea, but it’s one of the best marketing pitches we’ve heard in years.

We’d never heard of weighted blankets until we found Baloo on ShareASale, so we’re pretty sure you can get in here as an early adopter.

And even if you’re not an early adopter, you can expect a 10% commission on their average order size of $180, or roughly $18 per sale.

The really cool part about promoting Baloo blankets is that who doesn’t want to enjoy a better night’s sleep?

8 Brentwood Home

Brentwood Home Homepage

Brentwood Home has been handcrafting high-end mattresses since 1967, so it’s far from new to the booming luxury mattress industry.

So what do they do that’s any different from the rest?

Well, their mattresses are excellent and backed up by a 1-year “sleep trial offer.” We also like their range of meditation and nursing pillows because there’s a ready market for them.

But what we love is their range of luxury pet beds.

If you’re lucky enough to have a dog, you’d probably buy them a better mattress than the one you use because of your dog’s undying love for you.

This also means everyone can successfully promote this affiliate program, from pet bloggers to interior design and DIY fans.

And if the pet beds aren’t enough to get you interested, then Brentwood Home’s average order size of $800 will.

The $64 average commission is on par with what you’d get for promoting most finance affiliate programs.

This program is also a top performer on Impact, so there’s good money to be made here with the right audience.

9 AromaTech

AromaTech Homepage

AromaTech manufactures a range of 100% natural, vegan additive-free, pet-friendly essential oils and the diffusers to distribute them.

We know that essential oils have gotten a bad rap because certain MLM companies promote them as a cure for all known diseases.

That’s not something you need to worry about with AromaTech products.

We love the “Scent Your Business” idea—that you could use AromaTech to create a scent that not only customers will associate with your business/brand but also help your staff be more relaxed and productive.

So you have average orders over $200, 20% commission on those, a $460+ EPC, and promoting a range of products suitable for pets, vegans, and business and residential properties.

Promoting AromaTech could be the closest thing you’ll find next to a legal license to print money.

10 White Terry

White Terry Homepage

White Terry was born (no pun intended) out of the frustrations of a young mother of two who was trying to get enough sleep each night to cope with her toddlers.

But she found that the expensive sheets she bought either weren’t as comfortable as they promised, tore easily, or were annoying.

The entire White Terry range is made from 100% organic cotton, and a portion of the profits generated by this business go directly to providing bedding for kids aged 6 -12 in developing countries.

So you get to promote a range of organic cotton sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, and crib sheets while also helping a great cause.

But can you make any money promoting the White Terry program?

You most certainly can, and quite a bit of it, too, based on a $300+ EPC.

Conclusion

Most newbie affiliate marketers focus on big-ticket programs like payday loans, credit cards, acne, and other health-related topics.

But one look at the above home decor affiliate programs has to be enough to convince even the most cynical affiliate that there’s as much money to be made in far less competitive niches.

There’s also far less chance of a home decor site getting dinged in the same way that “health” sites got penalized by Google’s “Medic” update.

Completely new niches are worth considering, at the very least.
